Three Pin is the collaborative home for Garett Brennan's professional and artistic worlds.
MUSIC
As a musician, Garett writes, records and performs under his own name and with the psychedelic soul project, pigWar. He tends to limit his touring to the West Coast, and prefers to play smaller towns that have great access to things like surfing, skiing and mountain biking. Over the years he has collaborated with the following artists: members of the Foghorn Stringband, Jackstraw, Dolorean, Black Prairie, Teddy Presberg, Martha Scanlan, Tony Furtado and Scott Law. Garett was the first musician sponsored by Clif Bar. In 2005, he helped them launch their Green Notes initiative and help their customers connect the dots between protecting the outdoors, good music and good food. As a music curator and community builder, Garett curates a monthly “church of music” gathering in his Red Barn in Hood River, OR—these are intimate listening room experiences with world class songwriters, poets and modern day mystics.
STRATEGY
For us, strategy is more than hitting a business target or a policy win: it is an output of an organization understanding its purpose. We believe that for strategy to be effective, it must be strong enough to guide action, fluid enough to respond to a system that is changing as a result of that action and built with the people who will bring it to life. As a designer and strategist, Garett has spent nearly two decades working with organizations and companies looking to increase their impact in the world. Impact happens when people take action. And people take action when they feel connected to a larger purpose. For each project and client, we build whatever team is necessary to achieve your goals. We are particularly drawn to working with organizations and companies on the issues of climate, public lands, conservation, the arts, social justice and civic engagement. However, if you have a unique challenge or opportunity and you are looking for a fresh approach, we would welcome the opportunity to connect and see if Three Pin’s approach is a good fit. You can see a list of our past and current clients here.
COMMUNITY
In today’s rapidly changing tech-infused world, feeling connected to community has become more important that ever. Over the years we have helped global organizations build their community engagement practices, as well as small non-profits working at the local level. The bulk of our current work in this practice area has been helping the gorge-based non-profit, Red Barn Community, develop and design their programming portfolio centered on the intersection of spirituality, the arts and environmental education.
