Teddy Presberg

Blueprint of Soul With a view of the gothic St. John's Bridge outside his kitchen window in North Portland, Presberg transformed his dining room into a studio and created a musical impression of Portland, Oregon. "Blueprint of Soul" consists of songs written in a stream of consciousness, tracks done in one take, and unforgettable improvisational grooves. The result is a funky Friday-night record.

Listen to "Foster Fatty," (named after Foster Road) and you'll feel the movement of a big-legged neighbor taking her daily stroll. You will hear the hip, yet dark and slick sounds inspired from the Burnside Bridge on "Beneath the Burnside." Even a passerby's methamphetamine jaunt from the infamous 82nd Ave appears on "82nd Ave Strut."

The concept and pure funkyness of the album will even attract those not familiar with the city of Roses and includes original illustrations by Three Pin Artist, Giovannin Salimena.

The instrumental musical sounds from Blueprint of Soul are scheduled to appear in several upcoming national films.

Teddy Presberg is currently playing the music from Blueprint of Soul live with his new band: The Red Note Revivalists.
